Alberto D'Andrea, Giuseppe Tafuri, The coins of Messapia, Castellalto (TE), D'Andrea Editions, 2009
The work is the fourth work on the coinage of ancient Apulia from the Japigia civilization to the Roman conquest. The introductory picture sees a new topic, that of Messapia and the wars with Taranto. In the appendix, a summary is then made to compare all the Apulian emissions, both those of the Magna Graecia type and the Roman ones. The examined ticks are Baletium, Brindisi, Graxa, Kailia (with the whole question of double attribution), Kasario (examining the problem of the location of the site), Neretum (for which the same discourse made for Kasario applies), Orra, Otranto, Samadi , Sturnium and Ugento.
